Weβre Clay and Kelsyβinstrument designers, performing artists, and music producers. In 2021 we created CKI, our proudly queer and woman-owned software company. Our dream was to make cute instruments that inspires new ideas and feelings to create music with. We designed the Osc Collection to push synthesis boundaries and make π πππππ ππΆπππ that feel good to play.
Our EP Act I: βI amβ invites listeners on a descent through the soul. It is a journey of self-destruction, reinvention, and the powerful emotions of hurt and anger left in its wake.
Clay Burton (she/her)
Clay Burton is an inventor, music producer, drummer, and software designer from Los Angeles, California. Her journey took her to The Institute of Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague in 2014, and she later earned a Bachelorβs degree in Music Technology from CalArts in 2018. Clayβs work focuses on pushing the boundaries of synthesis and sound design. Combining her passion for music production with creative design.
Kelsy Kemper (she/they)
Kelsy Kemper is a singer, songwriter, and pianist from Los Angeles, California. By the age of eleven, Kelsy was already writing music and recording her first original songs in the studio. Since then, sheβs pursued a dream of making music, cultivating a deep passion for synthesis and music production, making her an integral part of Clay and Kelsy’s sound and creative vision.
