Medusa, Calabria Italy — hand-painted magnet
This Medusa comes from Hellenistic Calabria, in the 2nd–1st century BCE — a softer, more human Gorgon than her archaic ancestors, who still carries that same old power to protect and transfix. Here she is as a hand-painted magnet: 3D-printed in PLA, painted by hand in acrylic, and sealed in our Los Angeles studio, so no two are ever exactly alike. Part of the Gorgon Collection by Clay and Kelsy Designs.
